Interview do’s

  • Ask open ended questions that get people to share details and feelings, uncovering behaviour and motivation
  • Focus on past and present behaviours
    Ask for stories; dig deeper with ‘why’ questions

  • What are they are currently doing to solve the problem?

Interview don’ts

  • Avoid “do you like,” “yes/no,” and the “woulds”
  • Don’t ask about predicted future behaviour
  • Don’t pitch
